Snowmen- I thought it would be your typical corny, sappy holiday movie but it was actually really well acted and quite good. I was tearing up watching it..

The Amazing Spiderman- I thought it was way better then the other Spiderman movies.

The Hobbit.

I thought it was too long and very monotonous -- the second half picked up, though. Mr. Sachinky is a HUGE LOTR fan and he thought it was enjoyable. Thought he didn't like the fact that it veered from the book.

I saw "The Hobbit" and "Rust and Bone" ("De rouille et d'os" is the French title) on the same evening.

-I thoroughly enjoyed "The Hobbit". I love the LotR films and was expecting "The Hobbit" to be much less intense and too drawn out. While it is a bit slow at the start, I found that I didn't mind because there is A LOT of exposition that needs to be established. Martin Freeman was the perfect cast for Bilbo (though I'm still bitter than "Hobbit" pickups are further delaying "Sherlock"). The dwarves were all cast marvelously, as well.

I saw it in tradition 24fps because I saw a teaser in 48fps and I did not enjoy it.

-"Rust and Bone" was wonderful. I had been wanting to see it since I heard about it, but had to wait for a cinema in LA to get it. My French friend and her husband (they married last year on the VWP) invited me to go with them and we all enjoyed it. It's shot beautifully and proves that Digital v. Film is no longer a problem as long as the cinematographer is solid. The digital erasing was amazing. Performances were great. Just a solid and enjoyable film!

The Medallion, netflix, with Jackie Chan.

I liked it. I like all Jackie Chan movies, really.

This one had a great physical comedy actor in it - it was a hoot to see him interacting with Mr. Chan.

Rock of Ages.

Fun flick. Hubby and I both enjoyed it thoroughly. Plot is non-existent but the awesome soundtrack more than makes up for it.

Just saw "Les Miserables" and loved it almost as much as I love the book. Anne Hathaway's performance brought me to tears.

Now to convince the fiance to go with me on my next trip to see the stage version in London...

We saw the Hobbit the other day. We enjoyed it but there was a little too much talking and not enough action. The best scenes were with Gollum and Bilbo. I had no idea they were splitting the movie into more then one part though..

Last few I have saw:

Silver Lining - Cute, but mostly long and boring --- 8.5/10

Lincoln - Extremely long and boring --- 6/10 (also taking into consideration that it was so hyped up and a good 5 years in the making)

Argo - 9/10

Flight - 9.7/10 (best movie I saw this year...by far)

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

Source Code, with Jay Gillynhall (sp?)

i give it a 5 outta 5, but I'm partial to mind-bending sci-fi stuff that contains a terrorist plot and dead bodies.
