I decided to watch The Dark Knight Rises alone because my husband is too busy developing a new software framework. unsure.gif TDKR is a riveting, albeit flawed, film. Just when I thought the twist has been uncovered, the real one comes along. It's refreshing to see a movie with a well-crafted plot that doesn't need 3D to be a big hit. Of course it really isn't perfect and there were parts that reached a downslope, but I'll still go as far as rating it 9.5/10 because my $10.50 lasted about three hours. And oh, isn't Joseph Gordon-Levitt quite charming? I didn't think he was when I watched Inception in 2010. biggrin.gif

Just finished Lockdown. Predictable, but decent special effects.

We watched The Hustler too - I forgot what a great movie that is.

Chocolate - It was ok, my husband liked it more then I did.. He gave it 5 stars. I did think the female lead was a pretty good actor though.

I saw Chocolate Friday evening. OMG - that's a lot of work, wirework, rather. With it, the story line was so believable, her martial arts skill so good !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

We saw the other movie that actress did yesterday, called Raging Phoenix.. We didn't think the story was as good but my husband liked the fighting scenes.

we also saw Faces in The Crowd. Meh, ok concept but I had it figured out about half way through. :P

I've never really held high opinions about the Philippine mainstream movie industry but I decided to watch No Other Woman because it's the second highest grossing Pinoy movie of all time. Unfortunately, it's another film containing a bunch of strewn cliches.

- married guy enjoys a no-strings-attached relationship with a seductive heiress

- the paramour falls for him

- wife learns about it and tries winning her husband back by donning skimpy bikinis

It makes me think that if most of my fellow Filipinos couldn't even choose which movies to support, how are they supposed to elect the best leaders of the land? rolleyes.gif I guess the movie won due to cat fights and sex scenes which were softer than soft porn. It's 2/10.
