The Manchurian Candidate (1962) - Awesome IMO

Fantastic Movie.   I'm a huge fan of The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile but I've seen so many movies that I have a hard time keeping track of them. Pressure Point is one that doesn't see the light of day much.

Yeah! I had seen bits and pieces of the remake, but decided to go with the original one and loved it!! The Green Mile is one of my favorite movies, and Shawshank is just marvelous. I haven't seen Pressure Point.

Remakes generally suck, I haven't seen many. Liked Harry and Tonto.

Oh, yes they suck! Sometimes they remake movies right away. I don't know if you have seen Death at a Funeral. The original one is British and came out in 2007. Well, just last year they remade it (American version). The original was phenomenal, and I certainly won't be seeing the remake because I can tell from the previews that it's a waste of time. Same thing happened with Dinner for Schmucks. The original is French (title: Le Diner de Cons) and it's a fabulous movie, the remake is just a piece of #######!

Anyway, I'm going to try to go to sleep now. Night!

WHoop! Saw 'The Man Who Fell To Earth' yesterday on the big screen. I was way too young to see it when it first came out... Seen it on DVD and movie channels this century - but it's a different experience on the big screen.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

We just saw Minority Report again. I didn't like it much when it came out, but my wife wanted to see it. I liked it less this time. Philip ####### stories just aren't my thing, I guess. And it's sad to see Max von Sydow in this kind of schlock film after his illustrious career in Bergman classics like Seventh Seal (though he was in Flash Gordon too, so schlock sci-fi seems to appeal to him). I also hadn't realized that Mike Binder (of "Mind of the Married Man") has a bit part here, as the victim of the precrime murder John Anderton is destined to commit.

Minority report was a short story. A lot of dicks short stories that were turned into movies don't really work, the only one that kinda does is total recall

We saw Limitless and The Priest last night...

Limitless - concept was good but they could have done more with it.. the only somewhat interesting part of the movie was the middle.. the beginning was a little slow and the end kind of fizzled out...

The Priest - I thought it was pretty good.. some of the actors overacted a bit but overall I thought the movie was pretty entertaining...
