Star Trek - Into Darkness

The next, ongoing sequel with the 'new' Captain Kirk and crew. Fills in up to where the Enterprise and crew start their epic 'five year mission . . '. Lots of fun and really enjoyed it. Interesting plot, great special effects, really good tie in to the 'originals', hokey battles where no one gets injured or hurt even though they go hurtling through the air and hit hard objects, some good sight gags, and one incongruity with the fate of Captain Pike (but they may already have an explanation planned for that in the next 'sequel') - just lots of good, clean, adventurous fun.
