Vince, please call DOS and let us know if the consulate received your file and sent out Packet 3 :) I got my NVC letter yesterday with our case number. Have you received your NVC/DOS letter with case number yet?

My fiancee mailed out her Packet 3 yesterday.

We may hold off on returning the P3 information for a couple of weeks. We want her to have her interview in August.

Congratulations Vince!!

You could wait until your fiancee receives her P3 before sending it out. My fiancee got her official P3 today, and she said it is identical to the forms we downloaded form the website.

Also, the P3 she mailed out on Saturday was delivered today.

I'm really hoping for a July interview, hoping to take advantage of the July 4th weekend to fly out to save a day of vacation, but it looks like it could take over 1 month from P3 to interview date, so it may be the middle or end of July for us at the earliest, I would think :)

I hope you get the interview date you want :)

Now the question is how long do we have to wait to get assigned an interview date?

Can we put in a request for a specific date?

Is email the only way we can communicate with the consulate in Guangzhou?

Hard to say, within 2 days of certainty, but.

GUZ IV schedules visa interviews in batches, usually 'sits to set' the interviews 2 to 3 times a month.

Truly, depends on which 'batch' you get in, then figure 30 days out.

That is exactly what we are doing, Bobby. We already have the forms completely filled out. I will monitor the times for interview scheduling and TRY to time it for mid August. My best guesstimate at this point is around 45 days from GUZ receiving the forms to the interview date. Then again, now that she knows she has P3, she may change her mind and want to interview ASAP. :o

I'll keep the updates coming and hope you do the same!!

Vince, you bet I'll keep you posted!! :) We might need to start a new thread or do private messaging :) Can't decide on what to call the new thread though :D How about "Vince and Bobby's China k-1 journey" :D

I'm guesstimating 36 to 48 days from my P3, so that would put my interview date between second week of July and Early August.

I won't blame your fiancee for wanting to mail out her P3 ASAP :D We've all been waiting for a loooooooong time.
