Yes my priority date was not current but right after the approval of my case from USCIS California Service Center my case was sent to NVC. NVC started my consular processing by sending the CHOICE of Agent form to the petitioner. Actually NVC starts your consular processing when they think that a visa is likely to be available within 9 months. But this does not mean that a visa will definitely be available within nine months, remember the word 'LIKELY'. The time can be increased or can be shortened too. On the other hand, if NVC reviews your case and they think that a visa will not be available within 9 months or so, they issue you a letter stating that we do not have visas right now as soon as your PD becomes current or close to be current we'll start with your consular processing. I hope that clears you.

Are you sure Mahrukh....9 month NVC prediction is the right or there is a different criteria for starting nvc procedures.....

Yes. NVC starts your Consular Processing when your PD is about to become current within a year. And the 9 month prediction is written in the Choice of Agent Form which is the first paper from NVC you receive and its copy is sent to the petitioner too.

Thank Ladydare, I got wife's interview email this morning at 5.03 am....Isn't weired? Anyways..They asked me take new I-864, I hope IRS giving me new 2010 transcript. you know what i meant.

Khan saheb, You'll get your interview around Jun 25th. Remember that NVC only schedule interview 2nd week of the month. this is kinda standard rules. Even though 100% of cases of 2008 documentarily qualified at NVC, I believe there is no chance of wasting visa number anymore, now this is turn of F2A, also optimistic about that F2A will be a 2 years time frame processing soon. Let be positive.

I-485 is N/A to his case the wife is not in the USA and the NVC does not handle that type of form

A new 1864 will we turned over at the interview not to the NVC. If the police clearance is expired the consulate will require a new one. That said it is in Miami-Boy's interest to instruct his wife to get a new PCC now or be interviewed and rescheduled for missing/updated info.
