I have filled all the forms and ready to send off to the US embassy. My police certificate has also arrived 'NO TRACE'. I called the knightsbridge doctors and the can not schedule me earlier than June 1st. I am panicking cos I have left this too long ( I had to travel to africa for family occassions). Our NOA2 expires June 17. Will this be a problem??? Cos the embassy might get the result of the medicals June 5/6 and can't schedule and interview till July whe the NOA2 is expired. Please can anyone offer an advice..

I imagine you'd be fine. You are not required to have had your medical prior to your interview, though the visa cannot be issued without it, so it's better to have it before.

You could ask Knightbridge to keep you updated if they have any cancellations.

Do you have an interview appointment date yet?

Have you sent your 'I am ready' form? (Can't remember the proper name for it)

Good luck!

Helen

I spoke to the USem in London about this as I have the same issue. Our petition expires on 30th June. This is what I was advised: Ask fiance to write a letter stating his intention to marry me and then get it notarised. Send it over to the embassy and all should be okay.

I believe the Embassy does take into that into account and your expired NOA2 is automatically extended...I suggest you do an advanced search on the site to double check that but I'm sure I read that before many times

Thanks for your response. I have sent in all the forms, readiness form and cover letter two days ago. I wonder how long it will take to log them into the system. When do you think I can start calling DOS to find out. I hope I'm getting closer!!!!

Actually, you are required these days to have it done BEFORE the interview.

OP, as long as you have demonstrated contact with the embassy (i.e. sending in packet 3, letters, phone calls, e-mails), it's automatically extended. Our NOA2 expired in February and we didn't have the interview until March.
