Affidavits- Must the Person Be a U.S Citizen??

Hi all ,

I was just wondering, when you file for removal of conditions and you send in affidavits from friends, fam etc. does the person have to be a U.S citizen? Just asking because I was thinking of asking some close friends and family from Canada to write letters.

Don't go overboard on affidavits. They typically don't carry much weight unless your evidence of co-mingled lives is thin. One or two would be plenty. Things such as joint accounts, memberships, wills, taxes, children, are better evidence.

We have some time of course but at this point this is what we have:

1) Bank Account

2) Taxes

3) Lease

4) Utilities

5) DL showing same address

6) Pictures

Is that enough? My husband lost his job so no joint health insurance and we tried to do the joint car insurance but it was so much more expensive and we are tight

on money with his not working and all. Other than that we don't do anything else that would require it be joint. Have no kids yet. I just thought affidavits would be a good touch since I feel light on evidence. What do you think? Is what we have sufficient?

What you have should be sufficient, but if you want you can include sworn affidavits, its not a requirement though. Another concern about car insurance, its topically cheaper when married couple has joint auto insurance and both cars in one policy, there are many discount for just sharing one policy. Check with Geico or Progressive
