My guess is that the cases approved between 6/15 to 6/30 would be bundled and sent to NVC around 7/10. We should have good news next week - patience and positive approach are virtues.

Well I called back this afternoon and now they are saying 2-4 weeks. Looks like it might be another 10 days of waiting :(

March 2010-We met

3/24/10-4/3/10 Mark's first visit to the US

6/8/10-6/29/10 Mark's second visit to the US

June 2010 We got engaged!

That's very depressing. Trevor hasn't been able to get through yet - when he does we'll see which story they give him! It's starting to look like our interviews are going to get very close to Christmas. :(

Now they are back to telling us that the case was not received until 12th August - wish they would make their minds up. We might get a case number at the end of this week or else next week. Sooo frustrating. :angry:

Big relief to find out that NVC will continue processing our case even though the IV fee remains unpaid. They said they'd just hold the paperwork until the payment was eventually made, so we might still have time to get this done without affecting the overall timeline. They also said 20 days to process papers, and it's already on day 5, so I may even SIF on my birthday at the end of September. That would be lovely. :)

Ready for my grand ol' timeline? Alrighty then!

10-13-11 - CASE COMPLETE!
12-02-11 - Interview - 221g due to a washed passport
12-17-11 - POE - YYC (preclearance in Canada)

10-07-13 - I-751 divorce filer paperwork journey begins

07-03-14 - ROC interview - approval pending delayed background checks

07-25-14 - APPROVED! 10 year GC is finally in production!

NVC has done that to me as well, given me different received dates.

Just called and at day 23 still no case # :(

So today the operator said they received our case on 8th August. She said they need 20 business days to get the case into their database and when I pointed out that it has already been more than 20 business days she told me that 20 business days is a month! There's no point arguing, if it's not in then it's not in. I'll try again tomorrow - I have seen that several other people whose cases reached NVC on 8th have now got their case numbers. It can't be much longer surely. :bonk: :bonk:

Thanks for your good wishes. Yes, it has been ready for ages. Trevor was here in the UK for the first half of August and whilst he was here we got everything ready for him to take back with him. All he has to do with it is put the case number on everything and date the forms.

Got my case # finally!! :dance::thumbs::dance:

Called this morning and then called again this afternoon to find out they had entered the case. I have also updated my email address with them.

That's great... not long to wait for your #, then you'll be in line for interview scheduling :)

Hubs and I had little cash over the summer, and as a result I've not seen him since I left him in February to come home and do this :( so sad. Married life has been so bittersweet so far.

This has meant we've both been working our socks off to earn enough to move me back home to him, and the paperwork timeline suffered in the process. We didn't actually get anything prepared until after the NVC # was sent out.

Have to keep reminding myself it will all be worth it soon, and I will be back with him, watching SoCal sunsets and thinking of nights like tonight as distant and fleeting moments.
