I have every bit of the AOS package ready, except for the payment receipt. My wife even already received the original paper documents with my original signature that I send to China by postal mail.

But yet they still have not generated my AOS bill, two full weeks after they gave me the invoice number!!! I guess my wait for the fee to be invoiced is the longest. I don't know why. Called them numerous times but they tell me to wait.

Finally, after a rejection, my IV bill is paid! I also booked my medical (for those waiting, you can do it anytime after you get your NVC number - make sure you keep a police certificate handy for the appointment).

I was hoping for the possibility of an earlier interview too. We got a RFE last week saying that my PC from Chile (where I lived for 3 years) wasn't in the IV package even though my husband definitely put it in. So frustrating, especially when them 'looking for it' may take '20 days'. I'm worried that if they can't find it it'll delay us even further as I'll have to get another one from the Chilean embassy in London, which takes over a week to book an appointment. Was looking to avoid the winter weather as well!! I also have an audition lined up over there in October for a job which I may miss now.

Hope your paperwork goes through quickly.

Ahh man, RFEs suck, almost as much as the embassy at not losing paperwork! Best of luck with it, I hope it goes speedy for you. I just keep thinking what's one more month when I'm going to have forever with him after this.

RFE's Suck but you got to resend the documents even if its NVC's fault. You cannot question NVC.

Fully agreed - see my case - it was completed on 8/15 but I have to submit another I-864 because they processed my email one day after the actual I-864. And I tried in vain to get my case complete in tact. Yes, can't argue or question NVC.
