hope you get soon but my guess is you will get your case number by Aug 19'th, NVC is taking about one month to give you a case number from NOA2 date.

You have been waiting for NVC case since your I130 approval on 6/20 that is too long ... I am just getting depress thinking about ....

If your foreign spouse sent DS-3032, wait for it to be approved and entered into NVC system, so that the IV fee comes up for payment (also call NVC and find out the ststus of DS-3032). Then pay it and send DS-230 with the cover sheet.

My next question is when you say send DS-230 with the cover sheet is it a barcoded sheet just like I-864 cover sheet?

It looks almost the same - only slight difference. In fact NVC asked me to use the Cover Sheet with bar code from IV fee to send my I-864, as there was some issue in getting the AOS fee status changed to PAID for 6 - 7days. It is the Bar code on the sheet that they need to get the documents entered into the correct account - The bar code is actually your NVC Case number.

I am waiting for IV Fee Bill to be generated. The operator told me it could take about a week to generate IV Bill.

Keep checking the payment web site daily - you never know. Once the fee is paid, it generally takes 2 - 3 days for the status to change to PAID. Only after the status changes to PAID, you can print the Cover sheet with bar code.

Yes. Send it to (nvcresearch@state.gov). Make it sure you put your Receipt number on the subject and the beneficiary's name.

You can use this template that i used when i e-mailed them.

Beneficiary's name. (Beneficiary)

After speaking to a N.V.C. (National Visa Center) representative. I was advised to e-mail a copy of my approved 2nd Notice of Action, Notice Date: mm-dd, 2011. (please see attachment)

It has been more than 15 days since receiving my 2nd Notice of Action and I have not yet to received my case number.

Please get back to me at your earliest convenients so that I may resolve this matter. Thank you for your time.

Can't hurt... So far from what I have seen there is not much that can be done to get the NVC receive and case number/IIN much faster. We are about at 32-34 days right now for CSC NOA2 to get an NVC case number. Sending in the scan will give you some peice of mind.. You will get three emails. This first being the auto-response, the second being that they have sent and inquiry to CSC, and the third that the papwork is "en route" and if you are REALLY lucky you will get one that says that they have it on hand and to wait 6-8 weeks (you wont have to wait that long).

I have been in this situation and NVC asked me to email scanned copy of NOA2.

In the subject line always enter your USCIS case number or NVC number.

Before Emailing make sure you have following information in your email body.

USCIS case number:

Benefirciary Name:

Beneficiary Date of Birth:

Petitoners Name:

Petitoners Date of Birth:

We sent it too, but we didn't get no reply from them, just that they still didnt have it, we still had to call there to get our case number...

btw, the nvc replied to the ds-3032 today and accepted it...2 days after i e-mailed it to them
