You got your case number after almost 2 months... why is it taking so long ?? :rofl:

well, it looks like almost all of the march filers waited for over a month or still waiting to get the case number...when my husband called today, they said they got it last thursday...so it was about 30 days..

My guess is that the cases approved between 6/15 to 6/30 would be bundled and sent to NVC around 7/10. We should have good news next week - patience and positive approach are virtues.

We got our case number today :)sent the ds3032 off today too

omg..almost 2 months after you got your NVC#. mine approved on June 15th i am still waiting for it. :(

06-05-2012- Visited at Embassy Second Time
06-08-2012- Received Message from VFS Collected on 11th asking for New Medical

hey...noooo, was one month! made a mistake in the signature ;)...we got the approval of the i130 june 24th

Sorry to see that you still don't have a Case number - if I remeber right your is a little different case or ......... well I hope you get your this week.

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Yayyyyyy my AOS fee shows as 'Paid'!! Downside is my co-sponsor pulled out last night - I'm so pissed off. So looks like I might stall at this stage :(

USCIS said they send file on july 19th..but NVC have not received yet.

hope you get soon but my guess is you will get your case number by Aug 19'th, NVC is taking about one month to give you a case number from NOA2 date.

If you can use *just* your W-2 income to qualify and you only have *one* person you are petitioning on the I-130 and there are no co-sponsers then you can file the I-864EZ .. Otherwise you must use the I-864..

You can use the I-864 in the above cases as well.. the 864EZ just offers a simpler form for those where the above conditions are met.
