My fiancee applied for a police report from the Japanese embassy in Bishkek in February and was told that she would receive a reply in April. She has yet to receive a reply and her interview is fast approaching at the end of this month. She properly provided a copy of her passport and fingerprints with the order form, so I assume it should come some time soon, but the embassy now says they have no idea of when it will arrive. Does anyone have experience ordering a police certificate from a Japanese embassy? Or any other embassy? What happens in the event that they just don't send one? Can I reschedule the interview? I am really hoping that I don't have to resort to booking her a flight to Japan to get the thing in person.
