I'm still waiting for my green card, has been mor that 6 months since I filed, almost 7... I'm soooooo pissed!!! My local office has been working on the cases from August the 18th for more than 3 weeks!!! I think I'm gonna email my congress person >/

Wow, that is a long time, good grief! I hope you get the Green Card soon. Did you at least get your EAD so you can work?

Had an RFE asking for Blake's taxes (we sent in this years and last years, to be safe) a few weeks ago, and today we got a letter saying our case was sent to California. I hear this means we might not have to do an interview? I hope that's the case! Still waiting on EAD, feeling a little lost about when things will be happening and what's coming up, but that's my own fault for not doing my research really. I wish I had filed for AP, it's stressing me out that I still can't visit Canada, but oh well. Eager to move forward more.

supposedly means you aren't going to get interviewed and they are just processing your green card. the problem is people have been waiting months for them to finish processing. in my humble opinion i'd rather get interviewed!!

(p.s. i got transferred, boo)

We just got transferred to the CSC too. Have you found any confirmation about getting interviewed or not? This is the first time I've read that.

Happy to see you'll be giving birth BEFORE the dog days of summer :) Can't wait to see some baby picture postings around here! :D

Hi Christine,

How is life in the USA? I am still getting adjusted, it was a bit harder than I thought it would be, I sure miss my grandkids and girls! I am planning on attending my daughter's grad, she has completed a 4yr program at UBC, I am so hoping to have my greencard by then. I just listened to the prompts on the USCIS phone and it tells you not to contact them about your case unless it has been 180 days from your transfer, my case was transferred Nov 21, so that means I should wait until May 9th, her grad is May 24th...I do have AP but am nervous on using it. What a process this is!Hope you get your EAD soon, I have mine and am actively looking for work which is another challenge in of itself! But all in all I am still smiling and life is good!

Have a nice day,

Lise

Hubby got his driver's license today!! Yay!!! :)

We had a similar RFE for taxes a little depressing but at least we are back on track. Hopefully the transfer to California is a good thing for you both. Here's hoping.
