Well said.

There is so litttle we know about the OP and the situation. Making assumptions is nothing but speculation and helps no one.

We fell in love. We were not engaged in a month. But that does NOT mean that I did not know from the very start that we were fated to be together and had he have asked me then, I would have said yes. Besides, nobody said he/she proposed marriage on the first date, at first sight or even in the first month. Regardless, you don't know how, why, when or what happened with the OP. Being so judgemental only reflects badly on the one that is judging - not the one being judged.

Mo

You can try to shift the blame to me, but I'll bring the attention right back to the OP. She's the one who probably said the same things about the petitioner of the current K-1 visa 1 year ago that she's saying about the new guy.

I've lost complete faith in her judgement. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

From her own story, she's demonstrated that she's either frivolous when it comes to real marriage relationships or it was a lie to begin with. Either way, take your pick. But she doesn't come out as a shining example. No matter how much you want to be a lawyer or PR man/woman trying to spin her story, it doesn't change the facts.

Even if there were excruciating circumstances, for instance the original petitioner was physically abusing her, it doesn't justify her immeidately shacking up with a new guy. I don't have a problem with her not wanting to continue on with her current petitioner, but I have a huge problem with her starting up immediately with a new guy and trying to find a way to circumvent our laws regarding K-1 visas.

I'll say it again: REPREHENSIBLE behavior!

This post is just LITTERED with assumptions.

Doesn't justify her shacking up with a new guy? Since when do you have to justify love? Maybe there was a man that was there and very sweet to her during a hard time and really took care of her? Love does not have a waiting period attached to it.

There are a millions reasons for which it would be completely plausible for someone to find another partner within 3 months of a break-up. As well as a million reasons for it not to be plausible. But for us to assume either way isn't intelligent.

I am fine with the issues you have with her trying to get around the K1 process, I have a problem with those too. But, everyone has to stop making assumptions about the emotional and moral decisions this woman made. The ONLY thing we can do here is give her advice when it comes to the law. And by saying that she is frivolous and a liar you aren't doing that at all.

I am constantly amazed by how memebrs of VJ seem to think that because they've read some sentences written by a poster, that they know their whole life story. Assumptions will get you no where.

They can't force the child to go back with the mother. If the mother is deported, and the father refuses his parental rights and obligations, the child will be considered orphaned, and placed into foster care. Depending on which country the mother is from, the baby may or may not have automatic citizenship of that country (also depending on whether or not that country requires births to be registered with a Consulate) and if so, may move to that country with the mother, if not, it will depend on that particular country's immigration laws as to whether or not the baby may come along.

Where do you guys come up with the #######??

It is not the policy of the US Govt to separate young children from their families. The mother is clearly removeable, and she is certainly allowed to take her child with her. The child is not being deported, and is entitled to a US Passport.

Its up to the mother to decide if she wants to take her child with her, or make suitable arrangements for someone else to take over guardianship of her child if she thinks it would be better for her child. It is her decision!!! The child does not suddenly become an orphan!

What exactly do you think an orphan is? It's someone who is left/abandoned by his/her parents. I don't recall blaming the US for the decisions of the mother. Everything I said is correct and accurate. As I stated-read again if necessary-the mother may or MAY NOT bring the child with her. Either one is a possibility. If she chooses not to, the child remains in the US an ORPHAN and in FOSTER care, whether that be with relatives, strangers, or what have you.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

The problem is when you say "they cannot force the child......etc."

You think they are going to ask a small child what she wants to do??

Parents make decisions for their kids. Unless she has been convicted or has been judged as an unfit mother.....she is the parent for her child and makes the decisions.

Whereever was it posted that the mother was going to abandon her child???

If you had children, you think that you would let some govt agency would make decisions for you regarding your child if you are a fit mother??? The child is not old enough to make such a desision.

I know of a few US Citizens here that were born here to illegal parents. Two sisters in particular who struggle to learn English were taken back with the parents when they were quite young and raised in Mexico. They are now 18 and 19 and decided to return to the US as you know how it is in Mexico for a young lady to try to get ahead. It happens every day, and they were never asked as young kids if they wanted to stay or go with the parents.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

If the mother is in fact Mexican, AND the birth abroad was registered with the Mexican consulate, there won't be any problem for the child to go and have their new life with their mom. But countries have rules about these things-just like here-you can't just make a decision that you're going to bring anyone-even a child-with you, if that's not authorized by the country you're entering.

I agree...of course!!

Mom has to take action to make her child a legal resident or citizen of Mexico. I have no idea if Mexico permits dual citizenships. I know these two young ladies here plan on petitioning for their parents when they turn 21, and they can get established. Right now it seems their main concern is boys and clothes!!

Ana and Dan,

Interesting concept - a child who prefers to have sex with children. And can travel overseas to do it. (Can they travel on their own, or do Mom and Dad have to take them?)

I will judge anyone who was going to be married within 90 days & then broke it off, and got engaged to yet another man in that timeframe. What the........?!?!?!!

Most people have the decency to go pull themselves together after the devastating breakup of a future HUSBAND before getting engaged again. And to get engaged while on your ex-partner's fiance visa? PUHLEASE. Makes me ill.

Hey I'm not defending this type of behavior, but bottom line is that she did nothing illegal whatseover. Yes, she'll have to go back to her home country, and redo everything. Hey shiiite happens man. Who are we to judge? And since when one does anyone care about morals and decency on this site? Certainly not Yodrak or the Wench. As long as it's not illegal, it makes everything okay, right??
