Hello all, We just received our NOA2 and I have a couple of questions as the wait for the NOA1 has used all of my patience :). How long does it take for the NVC to issue a case number? What can I do to best prepare for the next 2 months? As always your feedback is greatly appreciated

it took ours about a week to 10 days from when they told me they sent the package to the NVC

you can start by getting the papers ready you need to send in for the appointment you should be able to find that info on the embassy site check here on VJ for the embassy info they have a lot of info and links for each embassy, once we got through the USCIS ours has been moving rather quickly

07/12/11 New Appointment to hand in the Original Birth Certificate Finial Approval

07/25/11 Still waiting for Visa to be received

08/04/11 POE at Orlando International

08/20/11 Married

Filed for AOS

Sent AOS,EAD & AP in same package 3/19/2012

Package Tracking Shows it was received 3/21/2012

Check cashed 03/26/2012

Waiting for NOA

Received EAD & AP May 28 2012

Received 2yr green card Sept 15 2012

Congratulations! NVC went pretty fast for us. Give them a call in 3-4 days to see if they have sent your case on to Rio yet. Once Rio has it, you can email them to ask for your interview date. They will also send you an envelope of things with an interview letter. Good luck!

Thanks, I emailed Rio to see if there was anyway to expedite the interview date and they were extremely helpful. There was nothing they could do because the paperwork has not been delivered to NVC yet. Rio told me to give them a call once we have a case number and the package is delivered and they will be more than happy to accomodate us with a better interview date to avoid my fiance flying after her 7th month mark :). Thank you so much for the reply
