I asked this in the removal of conditions forum a couple of weeks ago but I still as of yet to get a response.

First off I have to say I have had a bit of a bad experience in the past with getting USCIS to match up the right info, send us the right info/forms/certificates and just generally update our info correctly...and trying to fix it was a gauntlet. It took them over a year to accept they messed up and send us the noa2 from our k1 that were were meant to send to my hubby in the first place. we finally got it two weeks before my aos interview. they forgot to send my biometrics appointment for my aos and when I came to updating my ssn card for the right surname after green card was received they forgot to update my married name even in the computer system even though it was on my green card and all correspondence. :bonk: so you can understand my weariness at asking for complications or confusion. :crying: I just don't want the stress and arguing with a call center rep trying to fix it as they never accept anything is wrong.

but my conditional runs out early Sept, so we will be filing or removal of conditions around mid to late June. However we must move before October but we have yet to find a new place therefore its unlikely we will know and have moved before we can file.

So its most probable that while my removal of conditions is waiting on a desk to be adjudicated and while I'm waiting for my biometrics to be sent, that we will move and I will have to send of the form to notify them of my new change of address. I'm worried that something wont be matched up properly and the biometrics or new green card will be sent to the old address or something. :bonk:

Has anyone had experience with having to file for paperwork and then move and have to notify while its pending? did go smoothly or did it mess it all up?

Thanks in Advance.

Hannah,

There have been a lot of cases where people changed addresses and it got messed up. But if you have to move, then just change your address and hope they get it right.

Get your application done right now so you can mail in early June. That way you will get the NOA letter showing a year's extension to your greencard. That keeps you covered until Sept 2012. Your biometric appointment should come within 30 days, most are sooner. So then the only problem is where the greencard will be mailed---will they get that right if you change addresses before it comes? Cross your fingers and hope for the best. Your case status will show when it's approved so you'll know to follow up if you don't receive it immediately. You will have a receipt of the address change to prove you filed it.
