My fiance Just entered the USA on the 7th of May , I have read through some of the posts advising to wait about 2 weeks to submit papers to the Social seurity Dept in order for her info to be updated into their system. However wen filling out the Social security Forms Should I have the forms filled out with her Name as it is now? matching her passaport since we are not yet married ? ( im assuming this is correct then we just change it later)?.. any and all advice regarding this process is greatly appricated, thanks in advance for reading my question.

That is correct.... she requires the marriage certificate to show proof of name change. Without it she will have to apply in the passport name.

It's ten calendar days, but waiting two weeks isn't going to hurt anything.

It's the name on the I-94 that matters, until they are married and go for the name change.

RM 10212.001 Defining the Legal Name for an SSN

https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0110212001

B. Evidence of legal name

2. Foreign born individual

A foreign-born person’s legal name is the name shown on his or her immigration document (includes hyphens and apostrophes).

The only time you may process an SSN application in a name that does not agree with the name shown on the immigration document is if the person legally changed his or her name after the immigration document is issued. In these situations, the legal name is the name shown on the evidence of the name change.

Don't worry about filing out the Form SS-5. That isn't needed when you apply in person at an SSA office.
