Hi Everyone,

Can you guys give me your thoughts;

The Montreal consulate has had my passport and another document that they required since March 15th. I already had my interview and they told me I didnt have to travel to Montreal again. Just send your passport.

Since I haven't seen anything yet posted on the website (DHL), when can I expect to see something.

This waiting is driving me insane.

Thanks,

John

To be honest you have already been waiting almost 8 weeks and it could be up to another 8 weeks. Montreal is extremely slow paced at times and I feel for everyone that is in your predicament. I believe I have seen a few people get there passports back around the 10-12 week mark. Keep calling DOS to inquire if they have gotten your passport and/or printed it, as well as sent it via dhl. I hope that you get it soon. Good luck.

Are you in Admin process or consulate waiting for any document from you?

Otherwise there is no reason for for taking so long.

They have all the documents they require now. I sent them my marriage cert from the province with my passport. It sure would be nice if they had a special process for people that send them there passport. The wife and I were planning a few days in Vegas possibly in May. Now I can't even do that.

I guess good service isn't a priority, so they probably wouldn't think of offering something like that.

Any one else have an opinion??

The reason it is taking so long is because he had to send in His passport and another document before they would issue the visa. When this happens it is up to Montreal to open there mail, which could happen at anytime but they do not tend to "rush " to do it.
