I-130 - What is typical timeline of NOA1 to Interview?

Hi All,

I know there are timelines/timeframes on the website but they are allover the place.

I just want to have an idea of what to expect for the number of days it will take until

we get an interview & final approval for POE.

I appreciate any advice! :)

08-04-2011 - NOA2 - Approved
08-09-2011 - NOA2 Hardcopy Received
09-09-2011 - NVC Case # Received (35 day wait)
09-13-2011 - Completed DS-261 Online for Choice of Agent
09-16-2011 - AOS Invoice shows as "PAID" online
09-16-2011 - Conf Email for OPTIN of Electronic Processing

09-21-2011 - Emailed I-864/AOS Package to NVC Electronic
09-23-2011 - Paid/Received IV Bill
11-05-2011 - Submitted DS-260 & Supporting Documents

11-09-2011 - Case Complete @ NVC!
11-17-2011 - Received packet 4 email Interview scheduled for Dec 19, cannot attend due to Christmas plans sad.png

That depends on teh visa applied for. We are applying for CR1. Timeframe is 9 mos to 1 year to POE. We were 4 months at USCIS and have been with NVC now since Jan, still waiting for interview date. Good Luck and be patient. Is a longggggg process.

correct... you are looking at 9months to a year but I would definitely put the year in mind as thinking 9 months could end up making you frustrated when it turns out to be longer. My time line was about 11 months from start to finish.

Our timeline was about 15 months. It took almost 6 months to get our initial I-130 approval and due to the lag in Montreal we had to wait 5 months for an interview date.

04-19-2009: Engaged

08-07-2009: Married at Laconia, New Hampshire

10-21-2009: Mailed I-130

10-26-2009: NOA1

05-17-2010: NOA2

Our I-130 was approved in 203 days from our NOA1 date

NVC

05-25-2010: Called NVC to receive case # and submit emails

06-01-2010: AOS Fee Paid

06-09-2010: Opt-in accepted

06-16-2010: E-mailed I-864 package

06-23-2010: IV Fee Paid

07-12-2010: E-mailed DS230 package

08-04-2010: Email from NVC - Case Completed

NVC process completed in 71 days

CONSULATE

12-07-2011: Received consulate interview date

12-13-2010: Medical Exam (Medisys)

01-07-2011: Interview - APPROVED!

POE & POST INTERVIEW

01-22-2011: SSN Card Received
