They scheduled it for June 15th (see my sig), but we're out of town that week so we're going to try to do a walk-in instead (if our local place accepts walk-ins). If not, we'll have to reschedule. I'm not sure how to go about doing that so I'll do a bit of research on here and update you as soon as I know what our next step is.

I don't know if your biometrics notice is the same, but it says "REQUEST FOR RESCHEDULING" on mine. You tick a box where it says "Please reschedule my appointment", make a copy of the notice and send the original to the address on the notice.

If you do that, you have to do it ASAP and before your original appointment. If you don't get a new notice with a new appointment BEFORE your original appt, then you have to go with the original one, otherwise your application will be considered abandoned (happened to one member recently).

Sharing my AOS journey:

05/16/2011: Sent I-130, I-485, I-864, I-131 and I-756 to Chicago Lockbox facility via USPS Express Mail.

05/17/2011: (Day 1): Package received and signed by S BUSH.

05/23/2011: (Day 6): Email + text confirmation, saying they received all forms and sent notification through mail on 05/17.

05/24/2011: (Day 7): Checks cashed. ($1490) Ouch!!

Still waiting for hard copies on the mail...

Yes, I've trained Tom well.

He made several copies before giving them the form. I hope so too. I'd hate for this to set us back weeks. It's so frustrating! He's only not been in Chicago for 5 business days since he's been here, and of course they pick one of those days to schedule him.

Yes, it might take up to 14 days to get your noa.

I did a walk-in for my biometrics today. Guy was lovely, was in and out in 10 minutes. I guess it just depends on the city - Spokane is tiny compared to Chicago.

Hi CrowBR, it looks like we sent on the same day and got our NOA in mail 1 day apart...let's see if we end up with the same timeline! Btw, I'm also brazilian!!

We got biometrics appt too! June 8th! Faster than I expected!

Has anyone been able to track their rcpt # on uscis? Mine is not recognized, but I got texts and emails for the NOA1's.
