May AOS Filers

Hi all!

Joining in here as a May AOS filer. Just checked online and saw that my wifes case was transfered to the CSC on July 7.

We have still not recieved the Biometrics appointment letter. AP and EAD still showing as initial review and last touch of May 24.

Did anyone else here recieve their Biometircs appt letter after the case was transfered?? getting a bit worried and wonder if we should do a walk-in?? is that possible if no appoitment letter?

I remember you from the PI forum.. We had the same interview date

You should call USCIS to make a service request for your biometrics appointment, and if that doesn't work, schedule an infopass appointment at your nearest local USCIS so that hopefully, they can generate an appointment date for you!

I went to SSA today to get my SSN. I was hoping to get the number at least prior to the actual card as some of us here got the SSN the next day after applying?! Will create a new thread as I have not read anything like my case so far among the SSN threads on here..the lady said since this my first time to appy the number can't be given ahead of the crad. I jst have the wait for the card within 2 weeks she said.

I have a job offer and I just need the number so I can start working. I also need to get my state ID and DL so my USC husband can inlcude me in his auto insurance for our July 25th interview. If I can't get that number within the week, we won't have the auto insurance policy in hand on the July 25th interview.

Next,the life insurance policy agent today said they can give us a letter for the interview if the life insurance policy we got last week won't be in hand also...now am worried cuz on the interview we will only have the joint bank account and internet/water billls, IRS transcripts, pay stubs, letter of employment as proofs of a bonafide marriage (plus of course marriage license, birth certificate and pix). We don't have a health insurance either cuz he just went back to work in May from a 6 month unemployment so we are just catching on the bills that piled up through the months. That's why I NEED to start working. Like I said, I got a job offer already. Now back to SSN, do I need to go back there and ask for the manager?

Sorry, venting out...hope everyone's having a better week..I know I know..I shuld count my blessings..we didn't have any lawyer assisting us nor had any major problems really until now..that we're close to July 25th!

5/04/11 - AOS packet received by Chicago Lockbox

5/23/11 - Received NOA for RFE (I-693)

5/27/11 - Sent RFE to DHS Lee's Summit, MO

6/02/11 - DHS Lee's Summit received REF reply

6/06/11 - Biometrics done at Louisville, KY as per NOA schedule

6/24/11 - Received NOA for July 25 interview in Indianapolis, IN

6/30/11 – Received text and email messages EAD card on production

7/06/11 - Received text and email messages EAD card on production AGAIN!!!

7/07/11- Received text and email messages EAD was approved and USCIS mailed me a notice.

7/09/11 – EAD card IN HAND! J

7/11/11 – SSN application @ Bloomington, IN office

7/25/11 – AOS interview @10am in Indianapolis, IN I-130 Petition for a Minor Child of USC

6/25/11 - Sent I-130 packet for stepchild

6/27/11 – USCIS receipt date

6/28/11 - Received text and email messages stating USCIS received it and moved case to CSC

7/01/11 - Touched

7/02/11 – Received NOA1

Hi MB, yep we sure did. We saw you at the Embassy but did not know it was you! Yeah, Im thinking of doing Infopass, but I am going to wait a bit longer....our local ASC here in St Paul is wayyyyy back logged. They are over 4.5 months behind on i-485's so I am assuming that they are also back-logged on BIO appointments. If we dont get anything by the end of July I will schedule. Thank goodness we were transfered to CSC, so looks like approval after we get the Bio done, with no Interview.

Congrats to everyone.

I have a question. My status says that they've approved my AP.. my EAD status still has no updates. Would I be correct in assuming that it will probably be the card that has both the EAD and the Ap that comes (if it ever comes.. it's been 12 days since approval) ?

I got my physical EAD card by mail exactly 7 days after the first touch in my case status online. Never got a paper NOA, all texts and emails (about 3 touches) then the physical card on the mail.

Hope this helps...now SSN is my concern (posted a different thread)..grrr!lol!

Wow! Congrats everyone..seems like May is moving along here. I applied May 5th, and still have not heard anything back after my biometric appt on May 24th. Sigh, its getting really frustrating..Im staying positive tho..Day 67, thus far.

Thanks everyone, im going to see my lawyer tomorrow , and my friends this is not easy i thought i would never get the EAD, but by the time i get it ill have my interview, haha so if it comes before i must give it back .. im very anxious and nervious but calm at the same time because our marriage is real. cant wait for this process to be over im sooo tired of being broke lol, ok my friends wish you the best ! you guys have been sooo good, everytime i've feel down i come here and read or exchange opinions its good to know that im not the only one in this frustrating journey!

Question: does the location of where you filed your EAD play a role in how quickly you get approved? I know it plays a role for your GC, but I thought EADs were all processed at the NBC. Anyone care to shed light on this? Thanks! Wishing everyone a great day and good news with our applications. God Bless.

your case was transferred to CSC so you probably won't get an interview letter. I'm right there with you on the about the ead though.

Did you do the walk in? I think even if get your BIO done earlier than scheduled USCIS still processes everything according to their own schedule.

I had my BIO done on June 29 and received my appointment letter today, on July12.

How did you do a walk-in without your biometric appt letter? And I agree, I dont think early walk-in expedites your process. I did a walk-in May 24th and still have not heard a peep back.
