I also have this question about biometrics. From what I understand, certain centers allow walk-ins and some do not. This is a concern for us since we've planned a honeymoon from June 10-19th and are worried they will schedule us during that time in Chicago.

You will get your biometrics appointment notice at least 14 days before the appointment. If they schedule it during that time you can try and do a walk-in before the appointment or request to reschedule it. Instructions to reschedule are on the notice.

We sent the AOS on 5/10 and received texts and emails on 5/13. The check also cleared on 5/13. Is everything being sent to my local office for processing now?

Oh we have identical timelines! I received the emails and my check cleared, but still no NOA1 hardcopy. Did you get anything in the mail? I have no idea what center anything is being processed at.

I just got the NOA1's today in the mail....rcpt date 5/13

The USCIS web does not recognize the rcpt numbers, though.

My husband just called me at work, we received our hard copies today as well! You and I need to keep in touch!

Just checked the USCIS site and all 3 receipt numbers are in the system.

It took me 9 days to receive the email and text notification, now we are waiting for our hard copy :thumbs:I was freaking out but I think its normal, so don't worry!!!

Totally normal. Our package was received on the 11th and I didn't get my email notification until the 13th (check cashed on the 14th and hard copy NOA1 on the 19th).

Actually yours was the one that made me feel like something was wrong with my package. You had an email notification in two days and your check was cashed in 4 days and you had a hard copy in 8 days. Seems like others were similar. Tomorrow will be one week since the post office said it was delivered and I have had no notification and my check has not been cashed. I know this is a waiting game so I guess I will wait. Not sure how to check on it since I have no case number.

OK got a text message and 3 emails this afternoon. Looks like we are back in business. Looks like I would have learned patience by now.
