The NVC says my case is completed there but I can still sign in and they haven't sent it to the Embassy. They said they need to wait until a visa becomes available, *sigh*, does anyone out there know how long this is going to take?? I am getting so bummed out and tired from this long process...it's hard to keep going. I saw some peoples timelines in my F2A category that it took 3-4 years to get an interview?? Super worried now. Thank you for any answers from anyone with experience with this.

My priority date is March 4, 2010

good. so at the end of last year your case was current.. however retrogression has slowed you down. you are maybe 1-2 years away from an interview... lets hope for faster movements. The Philippines has long waits for interviews once the case it completed but cant say a 3-4 year is even possible.

Oh man... why such a long time until an interview? I am not from Philippines, from Canada. My husband lives in US and Im in Canada. Does a retrogression mean they are going backward all of a sudden? Thanks for your help by the way.

they are moving forward now.. that happened back in january 2011. check out the current visa bulletin on http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html

If they sent your file to the NVC it is because Visa's are available. I waited 3 years before it went to the NVC from the CSC because no Visas were available. Once it got the the NVC it went quite rapidly. Got all the documents (translations alone took an extra 4 months), paid the bills and within 9 months had interview at Consulat on Monday May 9th and am now waiting on Visa's from Consulat. Hope this bit of information will help. Good luck!

PS I am not a newbie...I been on VJ since 2007 but could not remember my login or password...I had actually given up on VJ because the information was so confusing...sometimes even contradictory.
