Thank you so much guys for answering back my questions....

I called my mom and verified and she told me that my petition is like a fiancee visa. Do you think that petition is possible for my case?

I'm sorry I'm new with this that's why i have a lot of questions..

Thank you for your patience answering my questions,.

Not true for a child over 21, you waited too long. He should have filed a petition for you while you were under 21, The wait would have maybe been a year or so because you would have been considered as immediate relative. The wait is only how long it takes to process the petition

Then you could have filed for a reentry permit up to 2 years to go back to study.

But you chose to stay, and now you have to wait many years, more than 10. You are now considered the same as unmarried child over 21, not considered as immediate relative.

And thankfully, he can still file for you because you were 17 when they married, if you were 18, your mother would have to file for you and not your stepdad.

That's why we're trying to ascertain if her step-dad is a US citizen or an LPR. If he's a US citizen then it would be FASTER by about five years if her mother filed for her. The wait time for an F2B visa from the PI is shorter than the wait time for an F1 visa.

girl, if the one who petitioned you is your step father who is a US citizen and he filed everything needed by the nvc you will be hearing from them oh sooooo soon... just wait for it and let them do their job.. ok? :)

anyway, you will be so eligible to immigrate since your mother and step father married before you turned 18. I think the additional documents they asked them is their marriage certificate. basta when it comes to the interview na be aggresive and answer questions directly and surely! on the other side i hope you immigrated there before you turned 21 since super dali lang ng processing and unlimited ang visa.

Like me, my mom and step father married when I was only four but I wasnt with my mom kaya di ako naisama with them and just filed the petition last year sept. 2010.then got the interview july 2011 and got approved and got here sept. 2011. only 10months of waiting.that time im 20 years old..months na lang mag 21 na ako, so I entered the US before ako mag 21 which is in november. That is only applicable for the unmarried child of a US citizen. but the sad part is I cant bring my child with me kasi i entered as a child in the US and can't bring a child with me because we're both considered children kaya I have to get here first and apply a separate petition for him.

And luckily you dont have a kid and already filed the petition earlier so you won't have any problems with that. You will not be denied a visa as long as quick ka mag respond sa mga questions ng consul.

payo lang, complete your medical exams close to your interview date. not too advance. kasi pag na approve ka 6 months lang and visa mo bago ka maka labas ng Philippines nyan. example: july na approve ang visa mo, it expires by january..right? you completed you medical exam by let's say JUNE. ang medical either 3months or 6 months ang expiration date. so the MEDICAL will expire by Dec. pag pumasok ka sa port of entry kahit di pa expire ang visa mo pero expire na ang mecial mo you will be deported back to philippines. ang pagbabasehan is ang expiration date ng medical mo. sa port of entry icoconsider ang dalawa. pag may isa sa kanila expired deport ka. like me I completed my medical july 7 then got approved july 11.. ang pina basehan sa akin eh yung july 7.. dapat before july 7 nasa US na ako.. so ala masyado akong pressure...kasi days close lang ang difference nila..

good luck!

If you'll notice, my first response in this thread was about as informative as I could be, based on the information provided in the opening post. I subsequently discovered that the OP had opened a similar thread in another subforum, only in that thread claimed their father was an LPR and not a USC. Obviously, this changes the answer completely. In this thread, the OP has vacillated back and force between USC and LPR, apparently not understanding the acronyms, and then says her mother told her that her visa is "like a fiancee visa".

It's ok not to know what something means. People here are happy to explain things. What's not ok is to ask a question using acronyms you don't understand and information which you don't know is correct. The responses you get will often be wrong, in addition to being a complete waste of time for the person responding. The OP is trying to get some information, and everything said so far may end up being completely irrelevant to them.

..then you should have just stop responding when you got fed up rather than being rude cos now all that previous effors is meaningless.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

I never got "fed up". I tried to answer the OP's questions based on the information provided at each point, and then pointed out the futility of chasing a moving target when the OP's facts kept changing.

Your opinion is noted, however.
