Well, Kathryn, who do you think owns the site I showed you in my post?

And PS that bit about having no control over what rolls across a website is nonsense. Any Admin can block certain words from AdSense. It ain't rocket science.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

I have no idea who owns the site who paid for the Google ad you linked. VJ does not control the Google ads but it wouldn't surprise me that different immigration lawyers and consultants - quite a number of whom are members on Visa Journey - are paying Google to place an ad on this site. It isn't a TOS violation to have a paid Google ad on the site. It is a TOS violation to have an unpaid ad or solicitation included in the forums, the membership profile or a signature link. Paid ads are what allow this site to be offered to the public at no charge. Private members can employ AdSense if they wish to block ads but if Visa Journey admin refused to allow Google ads to show on the site then there probably would not be a site.

Rebecca Jo, you and I both know that you won't be satisfied with any response that is offered. Since this seems to be a sore issue for you, I suggest you take it up directly with Captain Ewok. You can use the Contact form at the bottom of the page.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

So who posted the site?

The site was contained in one of several links posted by someone who had been a member for 2 years at the time and has not been active on VJ for over a year now. Here is the date of the original post: Posted 05 April 2006 - 04:42 PM

It's not fraudulent, because they offered a service.

If I offer you a booklet about the secrets of becoming wealthy, and charge you $9.99 including shipping for it, and you get a booklet, and you open it, and it reads in a few paragraphs basically "save as much as you can, and spend as little as you can," you got what you paid for, as that is really the recipe to wealth. Spend less, save more. Live beyond your means. You may not like it, but that's your problem. If you would not receive anything for your money, then that would be a scam.

Was wondering, since you are dealing with idiots, you didn't inform them to send cash only. A check or money order is traceable.

Just reviewing the USCIS fee schedule, 170 bucks is way way at the bottom of their fee schedule, that would be a huge bargain.

Now, now...It happened, the link's gone now and it's time to move on.....
