I am really upset with NVC

Hi people, I really need advices.

My husband mailed both packages (IV and Affidavit of Support) to NVC on april 15th. The courrier said NVC received them on april 18th. They have my IV package on their system already but still don't have the Affidavit of Support. I am so sad today. My husband and I, as everybody here, are waiting so long to get a chance to be together and NVC lost our documents?

My husband mailed me an original package, so we have another one to send to but I am in Brazil right now, our mail office is very slow. From when I send the documents NVC will only receive it in like 15 days and then 20 more days to process it and this will never end.

They did not say that but obviously they lost it. It's been 22 days and they still have nothing on their system?

Is there anybody here that have been through this same situation than I? Will they find my documents? Pleaseeee helppppp!

I just wanna lay down in my bed and cry all day:'(

HI, i was in the same situation like u. We sent out our packet April 11 and NVC received it April 13. about a week after that I emailed them and they said they haven't received my DS230 coz I sent it and my husband sent out the AOS. . . I was panicking as hell and very worried thinking i had to gather all civil documents and send it again, but then we called NVC, i tracked my package and found out it was sign and received by J.Allen, so we called NVC and the operator said that it happens sometimes coz it's an automated message, the system or the feedback is rather slow, but it doesn't mean they don't have it. iF you send it out u should track it and email them tell them who received it base on the courier u used. . . i panicked but then it was all sorted out and they emailed me again saying that they have my packet. . .

I received an email saying they didnt have it, but then they had it in their system a couple of days later. Good luck

I believe it was an automated email.

My husband will track it and we will call NVC again. I am worried because I have seen many cases here where NVC really had lost the people documents. Hopefully I will have the same lucky than you guys!

I wasnt nervous at all last week because I knew it could be an false RFE (they emailed me 6 times asking the affidavit of support) but today I am pretty worried because they still dont have it their system after 22 days!!! How many days it took to nvc says they had it on their system guys?

Plus, my husband will be coming to brazil next month but we need to find out the interview date because he is military (not in active duty anymore he will join the reserves now) and he needs my green card to start his job. So there is nothing he can do in the USA for now (he will start college in september) but Army wont let he comes til we know when the interview will be.

Oh my Gosh patience is highly needed now! lol

yes, patience really is key in this process. . .it took them a week after they made me panic by sending me the damn false RFE that they don't have my documents. I think it only took a week or less because i always email them hehe. . .just track it, and if someone signed for it email NVC and tell them who received it. . .at least it's what i did. . . stay focus and Goodluck to all of us

it happened to us too, sometimes it takes them longer to put it in the system . The 20 days period is 20 business days, not including weekends and holidays, and only after it is in their system, so it's actually more than 20 days.

If all that has passed and they still don't have it you can ask to speak to a supervisor. if they send to a supervisor review it is 10-15 business days. another option is to contact congressman for an inquiry

My husband just email NVC with proofs that they received the documents! We shall see!

Right after my husband has sent the proofs, NVC found our documents! What a coincidence!!! LOL They said they should process them by friday!

NVC keeps saying they don't have the forms

It seems that we are on the same boat... though mine is an electronic file... they say that it doesn't show up in the system as being submitted so, they say to keep until the actual 20 business days (day 18th already) so I don't know what to do, but yeah I'm sad as well

Hey we are totally on the same both!!! I am on the 18th day too! Well lets just wait till friday, hopefully they will find our documents! NVC is acting weird.

yah im also pissed with NVC, they keep telling me they don't have the RFE checklist i sent them when i tracked it someone signed for it. they should really get a new system, coz their feedback is really slow. im thinking of sending another packet just to make sure, ggggrrrrrrrr so irritating

Same here! I will wait till friday and if nothing happens I will send in everything again! So disappointed, this waiting is consuming my body and soul! LOL
