Timeline of NVC for K-1

What is the typical timeline for a petition approved in Vermont to go through the NVC and then forwarded on to the manila consulute? I was approved on the 2nd of May, should i give them another week before trying to call to get a case number? Also, will they mail me a letter with the Manila number on it and is it the same letter my fiance will get so she can take her medical exam? If so, if i faxed her the copy of that letter before the Petition gets to Manila, could she take her medical exam even though it has not got to Manila yet? Can airplanes fly without wings? and is brocoli considered a fungus?

I cant answer the last two questions, but we are in same situation. I was told, sometimes the paper is on the way within a couple of days from Vermont to NVC, and you dont get update till after they leave the NVC. Now everything goes real quick from what everyone has told me !

if u were approved on may 2 give them till thursday or so before u call

they can give u ur case number over the phone

and they will also tell u when it is sent to the embassy and then u can use DHL or call the State Department to find out when the package reaches manila
