:help: Hello guys, I just finished submitting the affidavit of support like 2 weeks ago, can someone tells me whats next after it? I originally filed for a K3 visa and since then I havent heard anything about the I-129f I submitted, I'm only getting progress on my I-130

Im wondering are they taking K3 visas in the first place?

Please advise :help:

Has the IV Bill been paid and DS-230 submitted yet? If not then these are your next steps. If so, then you wait until all has been reviewed and case is deemed complete. Background/security checks are also done at this stage. The time it takes varies depending on name hits and any security issues.

Have you been using the NVC Automated Voice Response Service? This will tell you when each is generated. I am surprised that the IV Bill hasnt been received as yet. This goes to the beneficiary (who is now the applicant) unless the USC petitioner was made the choice of agent. Call the NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700 to find out when the IV Bill was generated and mailed out.

Even though you are well into the NVC process you can still use James Shortcuts for the DS-230 (application for immigrant visa and alien registration) Have a read of the shortcuts HERE

You can email the choice of agent. Many members have been doing this for months now as a shortcut and been successful. There is an example email HERE in the first post. Email it to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov The beneficiary who is now the applicant is the one who should email the choice of agent. Once you have that off and receive a return email stating is has been accepted, it shouldnt be long for the IV Bill to be sent out. Making the USC the choice of agent is often the best as international mail time can take quite some time. The foreign spouse can forward a downloaded signed copy of the DS-230 to the US spouse and you can self generate the barcode sheet if you wish to save some time. All you do then is wait until you know that the DS-230 has been generated and then send off the self generated barcode sheet along with the DS-230 parts 1 and if required part II. Everything you need to know is in the NVC Timesavers thread including a link to what will be required to be sent with the DS-230 depending on your spouses country.......but if you have any questions just ask.
