Do I have plenty of time to connect?

For example... I arrive on a domestic flight on Zest air at the old domestic terminal and need to connect to a flight in terminal 2. If my Zest air flight arrives on time 8:40am and my Philippine Airlines flight departs at 9:25am??? I have never been through the old domestic terminal in any previous trips.

What do you mean by the old domestic terminal? 1 is the old international terminal, 2 is the newer Centennial domestic terminal and 3 is the brand new domestic/international terminal.

Hrmm..couldn't edit the topic.

Anyway, I didn't get that you were saying that terminal 2 and the old domestic terminal were the same thing. Yeah, it's possible...terminal 2 isn't that big at all. Depends entirely on the reliability of the airline. As stated above, Zest air may or may not be very reliable.

Plenty of time?

Sadly, If I were you I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Transit from domestic airport to international takes minutes(depending on the traffic which I'm sure would be really bad). Once you're in(international), you have to queue for everything with the crowd(judging from the times I was there it's always full of people). You have less than an hour to do all of those.

I was once late, granted I still got 1:20 mins before departure(9:30am) and lucky enough that they opened an express lane for immigration(for late comers), I reached the gate with people already boarding the plane. I suggest you take your first trip way earlier or have it the night before. The airport may not be the nicest place to stay but you won't be worrying whether you'll be able to make it to your next flight or not. :)

If Zest Air arrives 840am, you'll probably be able to get out of the airport past 9am :)

I think check in time of domestic flights is at least 45 minutes. I usually do this if I only have carry-on with me. ideally, I would suggest give at least 2 hours especially if you have a baggage to check-in, queue might be so long :). The three terminals are very near each other but you can't predict the traffic in Manila, and plus it slows down if it's raining hard.

It will likely take you some time if you have checked baggage, first to get it from Zest and second to check it with PAL......looks like a no go from here.....try to give it 3 or more hours in between.....just a guess on my part though......good luck!

Thanks for your information but I have no choice the only airline that serves Tablas Island are Zest Air and Sea Air and Zest is the one flying the day I need to depart tablas. Zest and Sea Air rotate days flying to and from Manila. Worst case is I may be spending an extra day in Tablas or in Manila but this will cause me change fees for my Philippine airlines fare from Manila to Ozamiz City. U can not win them all...I just may have to have afree day to consume mucho Red Horse somewhere. :pop: .

That's one of the problems in PI, it just too hard to make flight plans between Island.

We went to Puerto Princess (Palawan) from Davao. It about a one flight from Davao to Puerto Princess, but no flight go directly. Instead we had to go to Manila (1.5 hour flight), and the from Manila to Puerto Princess (1 hour flight), and of course there were only a limited number of flights and planes.

I quit making plans in PI, I just wake up and go to airport and arrive at a new city or destination and check it out, if I like it I stay for a few days, if I don't dig it I ramble on to another city....

I agree with your mind set tallcoolone...I will just fly to Manila from Tablas and if I make the Philippines airlines flight so be it and if I do not then I will take care of getting my BDO Bank account set up in Manila and then fly the following morning to Ozamiz City.

I have changed my CONNECTION Plans...We will fly into Manila from Tablas and get a hotel, go open my investment bank account, and then back to the hotel so I can CONNECT the rest of the day with REDHORSE and then fly to Ozamiz ther following morning....IF YOU MUST KNOW!!! :secret::idea::pop:
