Dear Members,

I am disapointed in the info that I just got this PM re: Embassy of El Salvador and their wait times now that our package has been at the embassy since August 14. It is very different from the information provided on this site under Embassy Information...... The information came from Visas USA which must contract with different US Embassys to provide information for a charge.......about $3.00 a minute. The information that I got is that the average wait for package 3 is about 2 months. After that, package 4 is about a 1 month wait and these wait times are with the best of circumstances. Let's see now.....5-6 months getting a NOA2 and now an additional 3-4 months even getting an interview....... It is disappointing. John

John, have you tried looking at the embassy website directly or contacting them directly via email? The info. from Visa USA could very well be like the USCIS MIS-information line. . . try not to get too discouraged until you have something directly from the source.

That is my next step, I guess.... Our package has been down at the embassy since August 14 with no package #3. I guess that I can hope for a Christmas wedding......

Checked website for Embassy and called an automated only line. They referred me to the number that I called last night which charge about $3 a minute and can only provide general estimates of how long it will take. They are based in Mexico and contract with other embassies too?????? I found an email address for American Citizen Services, but I was in El Salvador 10 days ago and went there for assistance. All I got was "not my job" and call this number.....Visas USA......

:crying: This is the worst part of the journey so far. No response to my email regarding a timeline for packet 3. Visas USA now says an additional 2 months....they think......but cannot give a timeline on packet 4. I have never been more in love with another person like Digna. I sincerely wish that she were here to calm the sad beast that now resides with in me.....John
