We old-timers never received such letter. That's a good sign. This means that the embassy is improving their service and communicating better with the petitioner/beneficiary.

It's election season in America so I guess that partly explains it. The Republicans want your votes!

I just called the IV unit at the US Embassy and they were not aware of any letters, but she reminded me that she did not work in the operations unit that schedules K-1 appointments. If I understand the letter correctly because I have not seen it personally, it says to get together the papers that you will need for the interview. Since they want current information I would assume the appointment will be in the next 60 to 90 days. What do you think?

hi guys,

I also received such pre-interview letter. I don't think that someone else, besides the USE, myself and my fiancé, would know the case number assigned to us.

anyway, if this is their way of notifying that we'll have our scheduled interview in the very near future, praise GOD for it!

regards,

tam

According to elizabeth's timeline, 2 weeks. How about you Ken & Ara, when did you receive the letter?

We were originally told they received our file on August 23rd, but according to Ara, the letter says August 11th which is more like Ulings timeline. Our NOA 2 was July 31st. She said the letter was postmarked September 6th and delivered in Metro Manila the same morning. Not that close to the Embassy
