Pregnant during process

Hello all, My fiance is 4 months pregnant and is beginning to worry about the effect it will have during the interview process. If anyone has been through a similar situation or knows someone who has, could you please offer your experience so she is not completely blind sided during our process. Thanks for any information.

I don't think it should matter, but you might want to post this in the appropriate regional forum. It sounds like they have some dfferent procedures there - and the members might have experience with that issue. Good Luck!

Unless Vermont really decides to stick the screws to me, I plan on receiving our NOA2 within a week or two. Our baby should be born in the US. If this does not happen due to the snail like pace of the processing I will be a very unhappy camper. With all of the taxes I pay to this Country, a little assistance with something as personal should bot be such a battle

It's all about paperwork and workload. The pregnancy doesn't speed or slow the process. Hopefully it goes smoothly and visa issue date is not so close to delivery date that the airline won't let her fly.

Yep - saw it. Sorry about that. I am the world's worst multi-tasker, and was trying to read several topics at once. In the interviews I have read about, I do not remember seeing pregnancy as being a reason to be denied. Have you read the reviews of the embassy where the interview is schduled?

Hi there,

I was pregnant during my process (K1) and if anything it moved things along more quickly. My daughter is 1 and 1/2 now and I have my green card. It didn't harm the process at all and the staff were so lovely.

I believe I read some where that you can expedite the petition for a pregnancy.

Really? You can actually expedite? I already asked her to call the embassy once we have our NOA2 to see if they could help with the time frame, I would like her to be in the states as soon as possible. This is good information, thanks
