i was wondering does nvc schedule the appoinment or Consulate ? is this process done alot faster then waiting on the approval or about the same? approved on 4/29 and nvc recieved my petition 5/5 now just waiting for nvc case number and pay fee bills..

I can only tell you what they told me always remember they have escrip that they repat over and over.

After your case is close on the NVC it will go for fina review

Yesterday night i spoke to a operator really friendly

Sir your case is close and on final review give us 2 to 4 weeks to schedule the Interview date and send documents to consulate.

I dont have a clue for mexico however in Colombia you can see schedule interviews on the embassy web site

If you're going CR-1, the NVC contacts the consulate regarding the interview date. The interviews are scheduled every second week of the month. The process is faster if you have all your paperwork in order. Keep calling and checking the payment portal so see if the IV fee and AOS fee has been accepted. Express AOS paperwork as soon as you get the email with the barcode sheet and the same when you get the email for the IV app to be sent. Only when your case is complete and final will they schedule an interview. If you do everything right and have no RFE's, it should be much faster then the USCIS stage. If you signed up to get everything through email and you're the choice of agent, then you and your spouse should get the email with the appointment date, instructions on how to get the medical and the checklist in the last email they send before hte interview.
