I sent my fiancé all the paperwork she needs from me yesterday. On the financial portion I included 2010 tax return, every check stub since the beginning of 2011, letter of employment, and aprils bank statement. Question is, is that enough or does it have to be 3years of tax returns? Does my bank have to sign a letter stating how long my account has been active?

This is what I am sending to my Fiancee in the Philippines for supporting documents. You might be ok with the one 1040 and the check stubs. But, I wish to make sure there is more then enough proof.

Your letter from the bank should have,

1. Date Account Opened

2. Total Amount deposited for the past year

3. Present Balance

The letter from your employer should have,

1. Date and nature of business

2. Salary paid

3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent

You should also include 2009 and 2010 1040 tax papers with supporting W2's.

I also sent Check stubs from all my employers and bank statement from current month.
