My tax in 2010 was under the poverty 125%. But, started a job in that pays me 15 dollar an hour and using a GI bill, but i wont claim it this coming 2011 tax return just because its a VA rule. Lets just say i make 15 an hour. Should i file a petition now and get a employers letter and current pay stab that i will make this much annualy. or wait till next year.

Can you get a co-sponsor? And I am assuming you're in the military, if I'm not mistaken I think military only has to make 100%. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure.

If he is using the GI bill he would probably no longer be in the military so he would need the 125%. I would file and get a letter from your employer save your pay stubs showing the $15 a hour. It would be the current rate of pay you are at now not last year. But If for some reason they need it ask around for a co sponsor but I believe you will be ok

I would go with the second posters advice, sounds good to me and work on a co sponsor just to be sure. Better to be safe than sorry
