Hello, i havent been a member for very long, but anyways, my wife had her interview on apr 27. surprisingly, her interview was only about 5 min long, and it seemed like they had the pink slip ready to go. in all they about 7 questions and dident even bother looking at our pictures, emails and other "proof" that we had. after the the interview, she went back on the may 5th, and now has the visa in hand. i feel blessed that the interview went so smoothly. hope everyone else goes just as smooth, and good luck to everyone. in all the process took a year. dont give up and keep charging!

Your post doesn't help other members in any way. You don't specify what is your situation, like age difference, marital status, so on, so forth. Keep charging is no different than the saying "If you failed the first time, keep repeating won't bring positive result, unless you investigate the cause of the initial failure".

Since you brag, anyway,Congrats! Now fill in the timeline so other members can benefit, somewhat!

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!

Go buy hangers.good.gif

I showed Phuong those "space saver" hanger gadgets tonight in the "seen on TV" section of Walgreens. I remembered somebody posted a picture of them in another thread. Phuong turned up her nose at them - not the least bit interested.

That didn't stop her from making me buy her an "AlumaWallet".

I like that aluma wallet. I got wallets for my birthday and Christmas though so I am good to go for awhile.blink.gif

I have thought about the saver hangers and will try to show my babe. She is asking me now to build her a huge closet and I have placed that on my huge "honey do" list.

Phuong won't use closets, which has me a little mystified. I bought her a big hardwood wardrobe for her clothes, and she keeps it packed.

The thing she most wants now is a traditional Buddhist altar. We've been using a tall bookcase, but she wants the traditional altar with abalone inlays and heavy lacquer. Surprisingly, there are many places around here that have them, but they are very expensive. We looked at one yesterday that was imported from central Vietnam, and marked down to half price because the store was going out of business - $1600 on sale. However, like much furniture from tropical climates, it had numerous cracks and the doors didn't fit right anymore. Her uncle suggested we buy one in Da Nang next time we're in Vietnam, disassemble it, and have it shipped here. We'll get a lot more for less money that way, but I still need to find a way to let the wood cure after it arrives so it doesn't end up with a lot of cracks.

Strange. The first thing mine did was unpack and proceeded to take my clothes off the hangers and hang hers and then fold my clothes neatly in a pile in the back corner of the closet.

I don't think I am allowed to buy big things but am expected to somehow build everything from scratch. I really don't want to build a big closet as that will mean she will have to fill it up and I am sick of going shopping with her.
