Received Biometrics Appointment Letter Today...

Due to the mail system where I work, which is where I had to give as a mailing address since we just moved, I recieved our biometrics appointment letter today, which was postmarked Aug 30th, but I just received it TODAY!

Then after I opened it and looked at the date, I almost had a heart attack.... it's tomorrow morning at 10:00am in Orlando!!! :o We are supposed to have a Shuttle launch tomorrow, but I told my boss I HAVE to take my wife to this appointment, and he understood.

I'm glad it is tomorrow... I just expected a little more warning! :)

Out of interest, why does the shuttle launch affect your job? Do you work for NASA?

glad your boss was understanding about it. good thing you were scheduled to actually be ON a shuttle! THAT would have been a little more difficult to get out of! :lol:

Out of interest, why does the shuttle launch affect your job? Do you work for NASA?

I work for CSR, which runs the Eastern Test Range, and supports NASA with all it's shuttle launches. As it turns out, we get to do it again tomorrow. :(

Well we got the biometerics done, and it was a major pain in the butt for my wife. They had problems getting her fingerprints, and one lady actually put her off to the side and had her sit down, where she stayed until another employee asked what she was doing sitting there!!!

Also, its a good thing I took our marriage certificate, since her passport only has her maiden name, and the I796C was in her married name. They don't mention that on the notice either!!! :no:

Anyway, they are done, and we are another step closer. Now all we have to do is wait for our stupid RFE! :angry:

Cool. I got to work down in Cape Canaveral AFS a few years back to support the launch of the project I work on, I enjoyed my months in Cocoa Beach very much. ;)

Wow! Small world! I work out of the ROCC at the Cape, and my wife and I are currently living out of a hotel here in Cocoa Beach until we can find a house!
