Hi Guys,

I just received NOA2 of our K1 approval but it says that they have forwarded to Consulate listed on the form. Does that mean it is not going through NVC, instead they sent directly to the US Consulate office in Nepal. Has this happened to any one of you??? Any suggestions please???

Thanks

Rob

Yes, it happened to us! But don't worry, no big deal! All petitions go through NVC and then are forwarded to the Consulate. You can call NVC to confirm they received your case.

Good Luck (F)

Just got off phone with NVC. We also got the same letter! I have been calling for a few days now, it's still now there but they all keep giving me different information. They asked me to read what my letter said and then said to contact the consulate or uscis lol. But Im sure it will go through NVC first, it has to. It also may take up to 15 days to show up in their system, so don't worry if they have no record of your case when you do call. Im pretty sure the girl I was talking to had no idea what she was doing. She was like "well then what happened to your case?" lol
