Hi, our Adjustment of Status package was sent out at the end of June. We have something called an Initial Interview next week. This isn't the actual Adjustment of Status/Green Card interview is it? If so, why do we have ours so soon and why is it before I have received Employment Authorization?

Yes, the "Initial Interview" is your actual adjustment of status interview! This is the real thing.

A lot of people who submitted in late June got them as early as mid-September.

usuklove,

I wonder why they call it "initial", 'the' or 'only' is what it almost always turns out to be.

Don't ask why, just be glad.
