I've been posting on VJ re Islam since 2006. I've answered question after question and have answered most of them repeatedly. I'm done with having stupid, baiting questions shot at me that I know from experience no answer will satisfy. I've seen you here, now under a new name, attacking Islam and brazenly displaying your prejudices to know that you have read me often enough to know what I have said on the subjects over the years. The accusation that I never answer is false and only leveled in an lame attempt to cripple me. Doesn't work, but good try. If I haven't opened your Christian heart to something other than doubt and suspicion about Islam and its adherents by now, I concede that there is not much I can do for you. You choose to remain confused.

Sofiyya, you keep telling people you are out of their league but are yet to give even one answer to any question. Whenever you are asked a question, its the question that is wrong. For once use your scholarly knowledge and give a convincing answer to all of us laymen otherwise all the (supposed) knowledge you have is of no use, is it?

I'm in no way being evasive or backing away from my earlier statements, and you're crazy for claiming that I don't understand the most basic tenets of Islam. What you fail to grasp is that I'm not discussing basic tenets. I'm discussing Islamic legal tenets that have implications beyond that that is clearly over your head. I spend my time discussing these with verified scholars and jurists, and that's what I should stick to, it seems. With all due respect, this is like discussing quantum physics with a kindergardener. It can't be done and the attempt makes me appear to be arrogant. Bottom line, we are talking past each other, and not about the same thing, either.

Being that you're getting angry, insulting, putting words on my fingers that I didn't type, and you just don't get that you dont get it, it's not possible to continue with you without breaking adab at some point. Please have the last very basic word on any subject, if you like, coz what I have to say you'd have to play catch up to get.

Now, there's a great example of a Muslim. Taking a dump on someone of a different faith when asked a simple question. If you don't want to answer the questions, then don't. There's no point in getting upset while simultaneously bragging about your history of answering questions about Islam.

Congratulations !!!! you have pointed out a mistake that a Muslim made, Islam is not practiced the same in every part of the world, the basic faith is ( there is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his prophet and messenger ) the teachings are the same, but originally the Quran and the Hadith are in Arabic and people that lived with the Prophet Mohamed were the Masters of Arabic, they had no problem understanding every single word of the Quran, neither did they need anybody to give them tafseer of the meanings of the Quran. on the other hand, what the scholars do is try hard to come up with the best solution to the daily problems that muslims face that didn't happen at the time of the prophet, now this solution has to not contradict with scripts in the Quran or the Saheh Hadith, but if the scholars made a mistake, it is their responsibility and may God forgive them because they have tried hard to give a truthful advice. so yeah what works for a Muslim in Pakistan may not apply for a Muslim in Morocco as long as it doesn't conflict with the Quran or the Hadith. Islam is flexible and tolerant but that doesn't make all Muslims ultimately flawless, after all we're human beings, we are born to make mistakes, regardless of what religion we believe in.

Just a side note, Allah is not just used by Muslims to refer to their God, Arabic Christians also use the word Allah Referring to their Lord.

That makes it convenient, when Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others all pray to the same Deity.

Good grief. More manufactured pathos and drama.

I made no mistake, nor did I dump on anyone. It's simplistic to attack someone when they don't give you the answer you want, or if they don't allow them to set you up for another attack. In this case, I'm damned if I do, or damned if I don't with some of you.

I stand by my answers. They are absolutely on point. I didn't say a thing about all of Islam being practiced the same all over. In fact, those who are paying attention knows that I never say that because it's not true.

I didn't dump on a person of another faith, although they have said much to dump all over me, and to encourage others to do the same.

I haven't evaded anything worth addressing. I addressed the topic, then determined that the challenger to my answer is not capable of understanding my responses well enough to make our time spent in further discussion productive.

The responses to me have been typical of cry baby reactions. So far, no one has responded directly to my information. There has been no response to my information about the early imams, about the diversity of opinion (it seems that no one noticed they and I don't object to that). There has been nothing in response to me that actually addressed my posts, just whining and complaining that I know nothing about Islam, don't answer questions, and dump on the Christian.

Wow, if you guys aren't just being obstinant, then you're being obtuse. Your ploys should be really transparent to anyone with two brain cells to rub together. When you can't keep up with the discussion, you whine, complain and throw around invalid accusations. If you can't understand the answers, don't blame the messenger. Get with the program and learn more for yourself so that you can keep up with me.

Since the first prophet of Islam was Adam, and Arabic was the language of the last prophet of Islam, the Quran and ahadith were delivered in many languages prior to Arabic. Arabic is the last language of the Quran, not its original language.

My flippant answer would be that Muslims like to argue and complain even when there is no reason to do so.

My more direct, but still simplistic answer would be that there are Muslims who have not moved past the basics of the faith and who resent those who do. It's difficult for them to communicate effectively. I imagine this is also true among Jews.

I apologize to those of you who aren't up on Islamic theology and methodology (which seems to be everyone but me). I don't blame you for wondering what's going on here. I know I am, and I'm only partly confused by the objections to my posts.
