Went to consulate in Ecuador, approved I-130 application, but, said I need co-sponser because I have been out of country (USA)for more than one year. New rule.

My brother will complete an I-864 also for me as a co-sponser. When I look at the form: Item 24 "D" and "E"

not sure what they mean here. Can anybody help me? thanks, Joe

What new rule?

Curious because thats not what the instructions say.

The riyadh embassy emailed me (6) weeks ago and said we need 5x the cash-equivalent income, then corrected themselves and said 3x for a spouse. So - what is this new rule?
