American Embassy London Address Help

Our petition for I-130 got kicked back because they needed additional clarification.

Now I have all the necessary information they have asked for, and I tried yesterday to send the information from the USPS but failed!

I wanted to send the documents expedited (I think its 3-5 business days), but they were unable to find the post code in their computer! Therefore they said they could not guarantee anything. I then went to the UPS store, who basically stated that since it was a PO box, no one would really guarantee anything (since guarantee would require signature).

So, my question to the forum is, what should I do??? Is there another address to send this paperwork to?

In the letter I receieved it says:

Please send this letter back to our office at the following address along with all requested documents/forms/items

US Citizenship & Immigration Services (I-130--RFE)

American Embassy--DHS--USCIS

Okay, so clearly thats not a valid address!

There is, on the front page of the letter (letterhead?) and address, which is what I was trying to use to send the documents:

US Department of Homeland Security

American Embassy London

PO Box 24444

London W1A 5WT

Now, I do think that post code looks strange, typically the experience I have with post codes is 2 letters followed by a number EX7 or SW7, not a letter followed by a number followed by a letter? IS this a typo?

You can understand my wanting to ensure this is sent to the proper address! Finally, when we applied for MY visa to live in the UK we used a courier to send our documents to the embassy in New York, is it advisable to use a courier for this case as well?? We did not use a courier to send out or original petition...

Try this 1 Grosvenor Square

I didn't try to look up the postal code.

Edited to say that a possible problem may be getting the documents to the correct area of the Embassy. If you have ever been, you saw the facility is pretty big. The PO box may be a way of controlling the flow of information. I assume there is a postal pick up from the box every day.

The post code is fine, USPS must be having a stupid moment.

I think the PO box number is just 2444 though? Not 24444?

I would just mail it off and not worry about it, honestly...

Agreed. When I took the documents to UPS, they said the post code was fine, but that they would have to take it to the post office to send it out (since its a PO BOX), he told me to just go back to the post office today and try again!

And yes, it's 2444!! Now who is having a stupid moment??
