NO. Clip it to the packet or just put it in there loose. I wouldn't hole punch anything, as a suggestion. They have their own file keeping, and will do with it what they want. You won't get any brownie points for punching it, and you might make things difficult if the punches interfere with their file keeping system.

But whatever you do, don't mar the sealed envelope.

We took a two sheets of letter size paper. We folded one then taped down three edges to the other sheet to make a pocket that we could put the envelope into.

That way it's secure, won't slip out until someone actually takes it out.

For my AOS, I just mailed a file folder of loose, stapled, or in some cases paperclipped documents. I had the contents listed in order on a cover letter. My I-693 sealed envelope was just slipped into the stack at the appropriate place, not attached to anything.

Playing with fire, I know. :) But it seemed to work fine. Approved in less than 90 days with no RFE or interview.

I think people tend to overthink how they package, bundle, and attach everything. As long as it's all in there, it's virtually always fine. They have to disassemble most of what you do to put everything into their filing system anyways. And as the above poster said, it's not like you get brownie points towards acceptance based on your mad packaging skills anyways.

Haha, thanks so much everyone. I wasnt going for brownie points. I work for attorneys so I am used to two hole punching and fastening documents anyways!

Ill take the advice of the paper folder and slide it in there.

One more question. Should I send our Certified marriage certificate or will a copy suffice? Has anyone who has sent in a copy of the marriage certificate received a RFE?

Thanks again!
