At least Indians do the job without the drama.

They read a script when on the phone. They're not allowed to do anything else. If you actually need something done, you have to have them transfer you to talk to someone back in the US. Don't get me wrong, it's not the fault of the people in India doing the jobs. It's the companies they work for that suck.

People unable to do jobs try to hide their stupidity behind bad humour. Atleast someone's still doing those jobs and getting paid good money, right? But why would it bother you, you are too good to work, just laugh at your own inability.

I have dealt with Americans, Canadians and Ins=dians in call centres. THe first 2 deal with customers like they do them a favor or play the 'Sir. don't talk to me like that, I am a woman/black/ any minority and you can't ask me anything or I will accuse you. At least Indians do the job without the drama.

Learned long ago that when I get a India call center and have the usual problem of understanding them or them me to just ask right away for an American and pronto. They try at first to not to but just ask for a supervisor and quickly I get a real American and then get results.

You got it. It's my first question when hearing the accent: Can you actually make any decisions? Usually you get some convoluted answer that translates into No following which I request to speak to someone who does get to make decisions. And then you talk to someone in Dallas and things start looking better.

No lie. Even the stuff made in America is mostly made from foreign manufactured components and assembled by immigrants. The factory service reps are useless little dweebs that know less about the product they are expected to provide support for than the sales personnel that sell the product to the retailers. If I want to ask a technical question, I end up talking to the line foreman in broken English when my Spanish fails to describe the problem.

I understand Slim's point...to a point. What would we do if someone did this to us? We would shoot them down, take the survivors prisoner and cut off all future aid to that country, freeze their assets. Because we can.

Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said: "Everybody has to understand that even in the getting of Osama bin Laden, the Pakistanis were helpful. We have people on the ground in Pakistan because they allow us to have them.

"We actually worked with them on certain parts of the intelligence that helped to lead to him, and they have been extraordinarily cooperative and at some political cost to them in helping us to take out 16 of the top 20 al-Qaida leaders with a drone program that we have in the western part of the country," he said.
