Can anyone give me an idea how long it will take to get a response from the Kentucky DOS after submitting DS230 and DSP122? What happens next?

Any previous GC winners who like to share their experience.

KCC does not acknowledge receipt of your documents. If you sent it by courier (or some tack-able means) you would get confirmation from the courier that it has been delivered.

The next step is to follow the steps as per the DV selectee website. In short, you now have to prepare for your interview. You do this by collecting your relevant civil documents that you would require to present at the interview, and monitor the visa bulletin to estimate when your interview will be.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, documents were sent with fedex and I can track it.

So I basically won't here back from the KCC until they schedule my interview appointment? And this could be several months?

Interviewas usually start in the fall in roughly regional serial number order, if you number is low you will probably hear in the late summer if it is high you may never hear from them

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Correct, it will be a few months (at least) before you will get your interview notification online. As mentioned, interviews for DV2012 start 1 October 2011 and finishes on 30 September 2012. Your case number will determine when the interview is - check out the visa bulletins to estimate roughly when it will be and expect a notification about a month before that date.

My Case# is EU under 3000. I have been told this is a low number for EU.

So the only way to find out if I qualify and if the forms ever made it to the KCC (other than Fedex tracking) is to be patient and wait until I hear back from the KCC, which would probably not be before late August.

Thanks for sharing your experience

You number is low and you should prepare yourself for an interview in October, if past bulletins are anything to go by.

In the meantime you should get all the civil documents required for the interview. Some countries may take months to provide certain documents, so be sure that you use the time available to get them sooner, rather than waiting till August.
