I rather we send a commando and get the job done then start a whole freakin' war over a few people that a country might harbor and fail to produce. Get in, get the job done, get out. Done. If Pakistan doesn't like it, they can produce the folks we're looking for. Otherwise, ** them.

So when Obama decided to Kill off leader of Libya... he should have started with Seals rather than the airforces?

Ronny Reagan was the first US President to try and kill him.

One might say that a certain Operation Iraqi Freedom was a breach of sovereignty given that it was premised on a blatant lie. At least this time what they went in to look for was actually there..

Do you really think.

a. this attempt is the first?

b. had it been unsuccessful, would you have seen or heard about it?

Explain to me what the Breach of libya's sovereignty was grounded in

that Iraq wasn't?

For cause.

IF Obama is wanting to use the same reason (decades later) .... why does he not mention it?

I was unaware there was a statute of limitations for mass murder.

Countries and governments engage in actions all the time that are a breach of sovereignty, international legal order, rules of engagement, rules of war, rules of good business, and rules of humanity. Is this OK? No, of course it is not. But this whole sharade began because of a horrific breach of sovereignty of the US, by the terrorists. I cannot think of an action of the US government since 9/11 in regards to the war or this man hunt that has not been controversial or brought under questioning and scrutiny. Everything about the period from 9/11 to today screams breach of sovereignty - not only of a single country, but of an entire region. What I keep saying over and over again is that Obama (and maybe no other president either) could not have done this right.

Had he not ordered the operation in Pakistan, and Bin Laden managed to escape, and this leaked out, he would be done. Out.

Had he decided that the operation will be carried out, but not before it has been properly cleared by the Pakistanis, and Bin Laden managed to escape or the Pakistanis had refused to allow the operation to take place, and this would have leaked out, he would be accused of being indesicive and too soft to run a country like the US.

If he had been diplomatic and respected rules of sovereignty, that would have been turned against him.

Since he did not, and decided to risk it, go in, and get the guy, he is now accused of not respecting Pakistani authorities.

And about Libya - Gaddafi is a raging maniac that probably would fit under the definition of "a weapon of mass destruction". He is not a fictionary figure. I do not recall any weapons of such character ever being discovered from Iraq. I don't necessarily agree with the actions taken against Libya - but I do think they were actually based on a proven, high risk threat to the people of that country, unlike in the case of Iraq.

I didn't know that Obama had ordered the liquidation of Gadaffi. When did that happen? Thus far I'm aware of a UN sanctioned mission to keep him from slaughtering his own people. If you know anything beyond that, please do share.

Really? I thought it was more or less a NATO campaign to protect Italian oil interests.

The missiles sent to his home should have tipped you off..... you think that happened without direct instructions from Obama himself?

You missed the point, please address it.

Q: If Obama is attacking Libya for the Reagan era crimes.... why is he not informing us about it?

Who invades a country and keeps the "real reason" a secret?

Is Libya not a sovereign country?

At least with Iraq, Sadam fired at our aircraft before we invading.

Don't be fooled. Libya is nothing more than an oil outlet of the EU and nothing more. It's either a dictator in Libya or a bunch of Muslim radicals. ATM the EU is siding with the radicals, but in the end it all comes down to oil.

And as far as Iraq goes...well it's the EU that's getting oil and gas from Northern Iraq atm via Turkey aka Nabucco Line.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

True. The only middle-eastern country the US gets any significant oil from is Saudi Arabia. Probably another reason we deep-sixed the body in the sea.

It's an Italian oil company (ENI) that's making bank atm over in Iraq along with some Spanish oil company yet the Euro's are knocking the US left and right. I'm not for invading, bombing, etc... any of those country's over there but the Euro's can call a spade a spade like anyone else instead of taking a holy than thou stance on all of this #######.
