quickest way to send mail

i have a package of documents that i would like to send to vietnam asap. there are many options, but has anyone had any luck with packages reading its destination on time? usps express costs about $27 where i am from. it will take 3-5 days for a package to get to vietnam, no guarenteed of course. i can try dhl, ups or even fedex. the only issue i have is how long will it sit there in ho chi minh city before they send the package out.

Depending on how far out it has to go it will take a day or two in country and a couple of days to get there. How close is the local FedEx office/depot?

I only use Priority Mail International (6-10 days) or Express Mail International (3-5 days) using the USPS. I sent dozens of packages to VN and every single one of them made it to my fiance's home.

The USPS offers pretty much the same delivery in terms of speed compared to UPS of FedEx but for a much lower price. Don't pay the UPS or FedEx price. USPS will get your package safely to your fiance/wife, provided you do NOT use First Class. Only use Priority or Express since these make your package undergo more rigorous USPS checkpoints during shipping.

FWIW, you can also use USPS Global Express Guaranteed which gets your package to VN in about 1-3 days but that will cost you close to $50. Interestingly, this actually uses FedEx at it's final checkpoint to do the final delivery of the package.

I sent USPS express last Thursday for $29 and they provided me with a tracking number and insurance. She received it on Tuesday.

Scan your documents in Color Mode then have her print 'em out @ Internet Cafe (w/ a color printer of course)

Look like the original copies. I did that for my fiancee.

If you go through the vietnam post office, expect your package to be open and maybe some items taken out.

My girl told me this morning that I forgot to sign page two of the I-134. I can spend another $30 to express ship one page printed and signed or consider doing like you say. (DOH! homer simpson)

Last time I sent 2 priority international flat rate packages, one to HCM and another to Buon Me Thuot, it took exactly one week for HCM and 4 f'n weeks for BMT. If it's outside of HCM and you have family within HCM, then you might consider having them forward the package by 'du lich vans'. Priority flat rate is just 14 bucks, really cheap i'd say

If she needs a page with your signature on it, I think this is a bad idea. Just spend the money and mail her the paper with your original signature. I believe they require original signatures, not copies for I-134.

I haven't heard of a color scanned signature being accepted. I think the wet signature is always required. You may want to send her a few copies..just in case!!!

all these couriers are all the same within prices and dates it seems. i am mailing my package to nga bay near can tho. normal first class mail would take me about 12 days to get there. it seems no matter what service you send mail, your package will sit there in ho chi minh city until they collect enough mail then they will take them all to their post called "buu dien" then they will call the house number and then someone will have to go and pick it up. sometimes i take our mailing system for granted.
