I remember reading a while ago about somebody taking a shuttle from the airport to La Tour Centre Ville, or from a bus station or something like that, but no further information was given. Does anyone know how to catch the shuttle, if one exists?

You can take a bus right downtown. After deplaning and gathering your baggage. There is a sign that says Busses. You will see a big sign with bus numbers and where they go. The maps are available on the Web too. A Cap is flat rate probably 40.00.

there is a shuttle that will take you to the bus station and then from thier you can take another shuttle to the hotel.... At least I think that is how it works.... I think it costs about 20 bucks round trip....

I ended up taking a taxi because I couldn't find the shuttle  I paid about 30 bucks for one way

$22.75 return!!

Just as you leave the arrivals area there is a kiosk, just to the left as I recall where you purchase the tickets. You can buy 1 way or round trip, round trip is a bit cheaper. The actual bus is located just outside. It wil take you to the train station downtown. From there you will transfer to a smaller bus where it will take you to your hotel. The transfer bus is included in the fee.

When you leave you need to make a reservation for the transfer bus to take you back to the train station to catch the airport shuttle. I got the front desk to do that for me. Can't recall how long it took, but I would think about an hr for the whole process.

Cheers

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

yeah, thats how it works .. I couldn't quite remember

if you need to leave early in the morning you need to let the front desk at the hotel know ahead of time.... i didn't and ended up having to take a taxi back to the airport again :P
