Hi,

No I don't think it will be a problem for you.

Why don't you want to do it in SA?.. Are you going to be traveling back and forth for the immigration process? Will you be able to explain i a logical manner why you are doing it in Cameroun when the US embassy asks? (If any?.. I dont know about the US embassy in Camroun)... But make sure that on top of the nationality, the residency issue is fine. So if it is your country, it is always fine.. Usually, it the other way around where people have issue.. (They are from Cameroun and want to do the interview in SA for example)

But let's hear what others have to say.

My fiance is from Cameroon but will be interviewing on London. Make sure as you fill out the I-129F you put US embassy in Cameroon as your consulate because your info will be sent there after NOA2. You can also change your mind later but remember you'll need police certificates from all countries you've resided in and you'll have to do medical exams and such in the country where you'll interview so you should plan in being in Camer for a couple months...

Like A&F said, you will need a police report from SA if you've lived there for a year+ and yes your fiancee can choose Yaounde as the embassy where you'll be processed. Make sure YOU have lots of evidence of relationship b4 interview date. The folks inYaounde like to see recent communication between you and your fiancee; email, snail mail, phone records and whatever else you use. You can never have too much evidence of relationship.

My fiancee had her interview at the Yaounde embassy on April 18, 2011 with what I thought was overwhelming proof but she was asked for additional proof of relationship. I got phone records, both mine(from here) and her's (MTN) and copies of pages from my passport showing visits to England (while she was there last August) and to Cameroon in January. She took all these plus more pics of us back to the embassy on the 20th of April and has been on AP since then. 9 weeks and counting!

So, "evidence of relationship"! Start putting that together and don't overlook anything.

Good Luck with your journey.
